I’d just like to say thank you to everyone who attended the ‘Conspiracy
Theory or Deep Geopolitics?’ event with Ian R Crane last week on the Isle of
Man. Hardly anyone felt the need to buy
advanced tickets, so neither Ian nor I knew if it was going to be a great
success or a complete flop until the doors opened. As it happens there were just shy of seventy
people in attendance, which we were both very happy with! So thank you all for coming and supporting
the event, especially those of you who have serious points of departure from
Ian’s views, I’m glad the evening didn’t turn out to be a monoculture of
thought!
I’d particularly like to thank the people who worked to promote
this event with flyers and over facebook, and the people at Manx Radio and Isle
of Man Newspapers for all their efforts.
Also thanks to The Empress Hotel, which I would highly recommend as a
venue for anyone looking to put a similar event on.
Sections of the talk were filmed and I’ll be uploading them to
this blog soon, you can forward them to your friends who stayed at home to show
them what they missed!
